LON - BCN (part of series FR7261)
It is easy, when flying, to miss the great vistas that span out 30,000 feet beneath us – a tiny world, totally removed from our cramped transportation, just getting on with its day-to-day life. But when you concentrate your gaze onto the land itself, it’s fascinating to study the ways humans have interacted with the landscape. From our varied farming methods, roads built into mountain ranges, wind farms and power stations; everything that catches the eye is a result of an intricate design for life – and impressive human planning.
These images are part of a series taken during a flight from London to Barcelona. Looking at the landscape from such a different perspective encourages us to marvel at the huge efforts we’ve made over centuries to get from A to B.
